The Cube, A Birmingham Icon protected by Homesafe
The Cube, iconic design, glistening and shimmering on Birmingham's skyline like a fabulous treat to be opened, is a true gift to the people of Birmingham from Ken Shuttleworth of Make architectural studio.
Ken was formerly with Foster & Partners and played a part in the design of London's Swiss Re (Gherkin) building.
Up on the higher levels of The Cube, above the residential and retail units, rests the contemporary 4 star boutique hotel in the Hotel Indigo portfolio, a luxurious club and spa, and the unique dining sensation which is the Marco Pierre White restaurant. All protected by fire sprinkler systems designed and installed by Homesafe.
To achieve this aesthetically and technically demanding project, Homesafe has been working closely with our partners and clients Denizen Contracts, with whom previously we worked on the DoubleTree Cadbury House Hotel near Bristol, which also featured an MPW restaurant.
A case study will be issued early in 2012.
